Maggie McCown is an actress who is passionate about creating art that inspires change and compels the non-theatre person to experience brand new emotions and thoughts.
Maggie is a proud Alum of The University of Alabama (roll tide), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and Dance. Originally from Atlanta Georgia, Maggie attended the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts as a Dance Major, Vocal and Drama Minor at Pebblebrook High School.
All over the country, she has been seen in many reputable theatres performing a variety of iconic musicals such as West Side Story, Hairspray, A Chorus Line, and Mamma Mia.
Not only through her local community, but she is grateful for the privilege and skills to use theatre as a way of helping others over seas. Maggie has visited Guatemala 4 times where she has been able to teach dance classes at various children homes and schools.
"Whether in my backyard, a Broadway stage, or in a third world country, art has the power to change the world and I strive to be one of the people who does it."
